- Avoid a particularly windy day, which can make even coverage a challenge and lead to accidental overspray.
- It is OK if there is light dew on the grass such as might occur in the early morning. A morning dew can even provide optimal results, but it is not necessary.

Application tips:
How to paint grass for optimal, natural looking results
- Turn the nozzle tip of the sprayer to a spray pattern that is conical for optimal coverage.
- Test the sprayer’s pattern in a low visibility area so you can get a feel for how your sprayer works and test how it looks.
- Move sprayer wand in a circular motion, eliminating streaks or patterns.
- Consider using a piece of plywood, plastic, snow shovel, thick paper, cardboard or other object to use for cutting in the paint. This will help keep the colorant off concrete, pavers and other unwanted areas around the edge of your lawn.
- If paint gets on anything unintentionally, rinse immediately with water. A wire brush and window cleaner may help if the stain is stubborn.
- Hold the nozzle tip directed away from the surface you don’t want painted when working on edges.
- Work backwards so you don’t paint yourself in a corner. You don’t want to have to walk on the wet paint.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained just in case.
- Take your time and enjoy the painting process.
- Let grass dry for two hours before you or your pets walk on it to avoid tracking and marks.
Results!
- Colorant will last up to 3 months and sometimes longer depending on how fast the grass is growing, frequency of mowing the lawn and other environmental conditions.
- We know it looks fantastic! Neighbors noticed too!
- Share before and after pictures on Facebook or Twitter.
