When it's time for turf transitions, it's time to Flex your turf. Flex is ideal for transitions. And, it's even better when it's a winning prize as part of a silent auction. Golf Course Superintendents and crews of Indian Wells Golf Resort in California were happy to be the high bidders for the new Endurant Flex at an event earlier this September.
Endurant Flex is ideal for transitions, whether transitioning between grass species, zones or seasons. It's often applied when turf is beginning to lose or gain chlorophyll or when transitioning between Bermuda and rye grass, among other species.
Geoponics donated two cases of Endurant Flex to the Hi-Lo Desert Chapter of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. Then, at the GCSAA event, Indian Wells Golf Resort in California were the lucky winners of the silent auction for the Endurant Flex turf colorant on Sept. 14. They were joined by Geoponics' distributor, Foster Gardner, sister company of West Coast Turf.
Flex is a unique colorant in that it is a blend of a pigment and a paint. Thus, it combines the affordability of pigments and the lasting nature of paint. Endurant Flex was designed to be used in conjunction with overseed or during any turf transitions.
Jennifer Seevers, Geoponics' Endurant turf colorant division manager, created a living sample of Flex. The sample, created in a small cup of soil, demonstrates the effects of Flex on turf grass that has significant chlorophyll. The Flex applied to annual rye grass gave the superintendents a small preview of what they could expect the course to look like after application.
