Endurant landscape colorants are a hit in the San Francisco Bay Area. The line of turf paint, pond colorants, mulch colorants and even tree colorants are a great asset to the area, says Jan Blosl of Horizon. Endurant adds curb appeal while overcoming water shortages and irrigation restrictions that are causing brown lawns. The full line keeps a landscape looking sharp from turf, through water features, shrubs and trees. Endurant turf colorant reduces water usage and mulch colorants save trees. Thus, Endurant Landscape Colorants are checking all the boxes.
"I am enthusiastic about Endurant turf grass colorants because of the drought. I don't want to drive home and see brown grass at all the houses," says Blosl's Horizon colleague, Gisselle Holden.
Blosl and Holden are enjoying offering the colorants as solutions in Northern California because of the products' high quality.
Perhaps best of all is that the Endurant line is easy to use for home owners, landscapers, golf course superintendents or sports field managers. Endurant is helping sod farmers and other agricultural professionals put their best foot forward in terms of product color as well.
In addition to the browning of lawns due to water restrictions and drought, fescue is susceptible to fungus. This brown patch fungus can be difficult to manage with fungicides and remedies can take time before seeing results. However, Endurant is different.
"Paint is easy. You put it out there and bam, instant gratification," says Holden.
As Horizon's manager of the Northern California area, Blosl sees Endurant's numerous benefits for commercial and residential use.
"This is a product that sells itself," Blosl says. "Endurant is helping to sell homes with increased curb appeal at very little cost."
Furthermore, as northern California experiences a drought, the demand for solutions is increasing. Some areas are completely restricted from irrigating at all.
"We have a very severe drought. It's depressing, the dead brown lawns. Some people replaced their lawns with mulch and plants. Others put white rock down," says Blosl. "But some want to keep their lawns green. They enjoy the benefits of the lower temperature, comparing sun hitting rocks or sun hitting plants and grass," she says.
Endurant Premium was the turf grass colorant of choice for the fescue at the Horizon location in Northern California.
"We used Premium here and it's gorgeous," says Holden. "I think that's why people over fertilize, to get this gorgeous emerald green," she says.
Premium is a great choice for cool season grasses, such as fescue. (Find the best colorant for your turf grass variety here.)
Not only was the grass stressed from lack of water, shrubs also looked peaked.
"We even sprayed the shrubs out front. It looks great," says Holden. "It's instant gratification. You go from brown to green in minutes."
The combination of lack of water, increased water expense, and, in many cases, fines for irrigating, has landscapes needing an extra low-cost boost for aesthetics.
Endurant Mulch Colorants revitalize pine straw and mulch that is faded without harming plants by piling on too much new ground cover. Endurant mulch and pine straw colorants come in brown, cypress red, black and pine straw. They are used for visual appeal while maintaining soil and plant health. Mulch colorants can minimize unnecessary labor or full replacement of mulch.
Lastly, another popular product in the Endurant line in the San Francisco area, says Blosl, is the pond colorant, Aquaveil. Aquaveil comes in midnight black and Carolina blue, allowing for ponds and water features to look their best.
Endurant landscape colorants revitalize a lawn and landscape so well, these landscape cosmetics keep nature beautiful by accentuating its innate features. While overcoming challenges caused by drought, landscapes can look their best while remaining environmental stewards. In California, such options as provided by Endurant, really is a dream.
"What excites me about the Endurant line is they provide superior, luxurious, lush color," says Blosl.
