Unfortunately, the answer is not so straightforward. The question of how long does grass paint last, has to be answered in several stages.
First, you have to ask yourself how healthy is the grass? Is it dead? Is it green? What season is it? Summer? Winter? Is your grass growing vertically? Are you cutting the grass? Are you getting clippings from the lawn when you cut it? The question of how long does grass paint last will depend largely on how fast or if the lawn is growing vertically.
If you have a Zoysia lawn and it is wintertime, the grass may be dormant and brown. It is probably not growing vertically. If this is the case, the answer to the question of "how long does grass paint last" will be about 2 to 3 months. The reason is that dormant grass is just that, dormant. This means that the grass is not growing and has lost its chlorophyll because of cold temperatures. When applied correctly, lawn paint will last 2 to 3 months and may require one or two applications during the winter months depending on where you live.
