Cutting in with Endurant Lawn Paint and Grass Paint

Cutting in is probably the hardest part of painting grass.  You will want something that can act as a barrier from overspray to keep it off the concrete, pavers, house, buildings and the like.  It can be a piece of plywood, plastic board, snow shovel or you can cover area with paper. As long as you have a barrier that works to prevent accidental overspray of grass paint.  When cutting in with lawn paint, reduce the pressure to minimize splattering.  Hold nozzle tip angled away from surface you do not want painted and move laterally with the protected surface always keeping your barrier between the nozzle and the surface you do not want painted.

Before you paint your lawn, cut the grass and clean all the leaves and debris from the lawn.  A clean and neat "canvas" makes for a beautiful finished product.  Spend the extra time needed to prepare the lawn to apply the lawn paint uniformly.

Let lawn paint dry!

Wow! Look how beautiful your lawn looks! It is a cool feeling, isn't it? Now is the time to let it dry. We recommend staying off the grass for at least 2 hours before re-entry into the lawn.  If you paint while there is dew on the turf it may need a longer dry time.

The Dont's of Lawn Painting:

  • Don't paint on a day it is going to rain, snow, hurricane, cyclone, blizzard or sleet or the like.  The Endurant needs time to dry.
  • Don't paint concrete or other areas that you do not want stained.  Endurant Lawn Paint is meant to be long lasting and will bind to those surfaces as well.
  • Don't paint your lawn when it is windy.  The wind will cause drift and you could paint your car or your neighbors house without knowing it.
  • Don't change mix ratio.  Changing the mix ratio of water to paint can have an effect on how long the lawn paint last.
  • Don't wear nice clothes to paint your lawn.  No matter how good you are, there is a chance you will get some paint on you. If it wet lawn paint gets on you clothes it will stain them.
  • Don't Rush! Take your time. Do an area then step back and see how you did.
