Arizona lawn painting is becoming more popular secondary to factors like drought, cost and availability. Increases in the cost of ryegrass seed, and even more importantly its availability, is forcing many lawn care professionals to keep customers' lawns green with Endurant lawn paint.
Several companies are helping lawn care companies address these challenges head-on with hands on training. Nutrien Ag Solutions in Phoenix, Arizona and Geoponics Corp out of Naples, Florida have teamed up to show landscape professionals how to color lawns. This in turn, helps the end customer save water and resources while maintaining the landscape.
In the heat of the of the July southwest summer sun, members of both Nutrient Ag Solutions and Geoponics Corp gathered with many local landscapers to learn about the benefits of using Endurant Turf Paint and how to apply it. Some of the areas that were addressed were common questions relevant to painting lawns including:
Much of learning how to paint a lawn so that it looks natural is identifying the type of grass that is to be painted. Then, decide which color to use to make it look as natural as possible. Many of the lawns in Arizona are Bermuda grass. In the winter, Bermuda will turn brown and move into dormancy. In the past, many homeowners have overseeded their lawns. The looming availability of water and the rising cost of seed is forcing a turn in the road to more sustainable practices, such as lawn painting in Arizona and much of the southwestern part of the United States.
Seen in the video below, Brad Driggers, Territory Manager of Geoponics Corp, the company that makes Endurant Lawn Paint, demonstrates how to apply the product using a hand gun and reel hose.
"It was a great day working with all the folks here in Arizona. Everyone seemed excited to learn about the process and how it will fit into their programs this winter season", said Driggers.
